Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Josh Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Iosif Cobzone!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cobzone looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Cobzone misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Peterson to counter with a crisp jab.
Cobzone pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Peterson throws a shot to the body.
Peterson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Peterson throws a lazy uppercut
and Cobzone counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Peterson has managed to clinch.
Peterson leaning against his opponent.
Cobzone avoids the elbow strike from Peterson, against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peterson fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Cobzone breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Peterson has closed the distance and engaged Cobzone in a clinch.
Cobzone pressing his opponent against the cage.
Peterson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Peterson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Peterson swings widly with a right hand
and Cobzone counters with a nice uppercut.
Cobzone lands a really nice looking cross but Peterson seems unphased.
Cobzone takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A telegraphed right hand from Cobzone misses the target.
Cobzone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Peterson throws a shot from downtown. Cobzone moves away and avoids it.
Peterson misses with an uppercut

and Cobzone counters with a crisp right hand that drops Peterson! Cobzone lets Peterson back up to his feet, looking for a finish!


Peterson is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cobzone finds Peterson's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Peterson flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Cobzone lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Peterson will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Iosif Cobzone!
A pretty intense looking Iosif Cobzone took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
