Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lars Bravo!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bravo drives through and clinches with Drake against the cage.
Bravo taking a breather.
Bravo stalling in the clinch but Drake improves position.
Drake really is a fat lump.

Bravo has picked Drake up - he's going for a ride! Bravo dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Bravo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Drake strikes from the bottom but Bravo passes into mount!
Drake is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bravo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Drake is looking to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Drake wants to try and get back to his feet.
Drake blocking the ground and pound.

Bravo goes for an armbar but Drake turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Drake.
Drake scoring with punches to the head and body.
Bravo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bravo is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Drake content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Bravo is trying to keep Drake in close.

Drake stands up from Bravo's guard - Drake perhaps looking for a knockout.
Bravo tests Drake's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Bravo forces Drake back against the cage and clinches.
Drake fails to pull guard.
Drake is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bravo to keep the fight standing.

Bravo manages to pull guard.

Bravo is looking for a triangle but Drake pushes his legs off easily.
Bravo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Drake advances position into side control!
Drake in side control lands a decent elbow.
Drake works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Bravo tries to bench press Drake off him but Drake keeps the position.
Drake working the head and body with strikes.
Bravo is trying to control Drake's posture but Drake avoids it.

Drake decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bravo to his feet.

Drake gets a clinch.
Drake tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Drake pulls Bravo into guard.
Bravo preventing the sweep.
Bravo throws a strike but Drake rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Drake has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bravo is proving hard to escape from.
Drake postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Bravo keeping moving, preventing Drake from controlling successfully.
Drake lands a couple of decent looking shots.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Drake wants to get up but he can't break Bravo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrew Drake dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Excellent takedown into side control there by Drake.

Bravo throws Drake to one side and escapes!

Drake dives in and scores a takedown into Bravo's guard.

Bravo pushes Drake off and scrambles back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bravo has managed to clinch.
Drake jumps guard but Bravo turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Bravo wants the takedown. Drake is fighting it off but Bravo persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Drake's guard against the cage.
Bravo trying to control but Drake is working from the bottom.
Drake has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bravo prevents Drake from getting back to his feet.
Bravo is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Bravo stands up from Drake's guard - Bravo perhaps looking for a knockout.
Bravo fails to land with a series of punches.
Drake drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bravo sprawls and moves away.

Drake gets caught flat footed, as Bravo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bravo looking to pass the guard.
Bravo is breathing heavily.
Bravo won't allow Drake to sweep him here.

Drake avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Lars Bravo has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bravo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Drake tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bravo wants to counter with a clinch but Drake pushes him away.

Bravo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Drake, pushing him back against the cage.
Bravo manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Bravo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Drake avoids it.

Bravo manages to break the clinch.
Bravo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Drake fails to land the takedown.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Drake will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Drake gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bravo to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Drake wriggles free and stands up.

Bravo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bravo showed some decent athleticism there.

Drake manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Bravo keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Drake is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrew Drake. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A frustrated look appears on Drake's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Bravo wants to break the clinch but can't.
Stalling in the clinch from Drake.
Drake is looking for a takedown.
Drake looking to slow down the pace here.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bravo takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Drake wants to break free but Bravo has control.
Drake is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Lars Bravo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Bravo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Drake counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bravo won't be happy with that.
Bravo is looking to regain half guard here but Drake keeps moving and retains side control.
Bravo tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Bravo is trying to control Drake's posture but Drake avoids it.
Bravo sneaks back into half guard.

Drake decides to stand up.
A head kick misses from Bravo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bravo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Drake pushes Bravo off and gets back to his feet.
Lars Bravo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bravo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bravo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Drake gets back to full guard.
Drake tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Drake is working hard here to advance position.
Bravo trying to control the position from guard on top but Drake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Drake is on top in guard.


Bravo has his foot on Drake's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Drake works his way back into a safe position though.

Drake is looking to stand up but Bravo won't let him.
Drake working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bravo's head.

Drake tries to stand but Bravo is controlling from the bottom.
Drake distracts Bravo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Drake throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bravo is trying to control the position but Drake postures up.
Drake working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Drake is looking to stand up but Bravo won't let him.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Drake connects with a couple of short punches.
Bravo working a defensive guard here.
Drake throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bravo trying to keep a closed guard but Drake is proving a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
