The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Smith drops down looking for a counter takedown but Garcia sprawls and moves away.
Smith takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Smith takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Garcia swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Smith.
Garcia tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smith was well out of range. Poor timing from Garcia.
Garcia lands with a nice body punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garcia fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Smith walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Smith has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Smith there as he acknowledges the shot.
Garcia lands with a hook. Smith tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Garcia tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Smith wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Smith lands a big shot there that rocks Garcia but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Garcia is bucking up trying to escape but Smith cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Garcia wants to try and get back to his feet.
Smith has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Garcia's face.
Smith lands with some strikes.
Garcia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Smith lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Garcia is still in real trouble! Can Smith finish him?
Smith postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Garcia badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Smith around the waist but Smith pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Smith is the winner by TKO! Smith jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
