The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Shaw throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Taylor takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Shaw tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shaw scoring well with a low kick there.

and Taylor counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Taylor prevents Shaw from standing back up.

Taylor is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Shaw sees it coming and defends easily.

Taylor seems to be looking for submissions.

Taylor is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shaw is just riding it out for now. Taylor eventually gives up the hold.

Taylor is working for a kimura but Shaw is defending it quite comfortably.

Taylor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Shaw does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
