Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rickson Moura!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moura ducks under a wild hook from Ryan.
Ryan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Rickson Moura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ryan slaps away a takedown attempt from Moura, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Moura keeps the fight on the outside.
Moura misses with a takedown attempt - Ryan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ryan lands with an overhand left.
Moura shoots in looking for a takedown. Ryan tries to sprawl out of it but Moura keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ryan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jimmy Ryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rickson Moura.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moura takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ryan lands a jab to Moura's midsection.
Moura fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Moura's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ryan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Moura scrambles back to his feet.
Ryan misses with the combination.

Ryan lands a big head kick that sends Moura tumbling to the mat! Ryan takes a step backwards and waves Moura back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Rickson Moura has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ryan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Moura.

Moura shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ryan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Moura misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Ryan can't do much from the bottom here.
Moura creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ryan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Moura tries for a kimura but Ryan is defending well.
Ryan is looking for a sweep.
Moura lands a decent elbow from side control.
Moura misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Moura wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ryan keeps working.
Ryan is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ryan can't do much from the bottom here.
Moura landing a few strikes.
Moura has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ryan sneaks back into half guard.
Ryan is not content to let Moura control the position.
Moura controlling the pace.

Moura is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Well, if Moura is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ryan is positioning himself well to prevent Moura advancing to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moura working over Ryan with some ground and pound. Ryan looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Ryan is refusing to be controlled, as Moura sits in half guard.
Ryan trying to hold on to Moura's head to control him but Moura postures up.
Moura prevents Ryan from improving his position.
Nice strikes from Moura there.
Moura is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Ryan!

Moura lands a big elbow.
BOOM! Moura connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Ryan is rocked!
Moura loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Ryan scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Moura land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Moura stands and salutes the crowd.

After winning the bout, Rickson Moura thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
