Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bradley Burt (ranked 25272 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marty McKill (ranked 5507 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bradley Burt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marty McKill!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKill displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Burt.

McKill closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McKill lands in his opponent's guard.
McKill stays in close to Burt's body and controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burt wants to stand but McKill is controlling the position.
Burt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
McKill sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Burt's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Burt is trying to stand.
McKill with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burt wants to improve his position but McKill is controlling well.

McKill is working for a kimura but Burt is defending it quite comfortably.
McKill performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Burt pushes McKill off looking to stand but McKill dives back in and keeps control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
McKill swinging wildly here.
McKill looks to land a body kick but Burt moved away.

McKill decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
McKill scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Burt is trying to defend against the ground and pound but McKill scores with a couple of nice shots.

McKill looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McKill is controlling the pace.
Burt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
McKill sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Burt defending well though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Burt keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
McKill content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

McKill decides to return to a standing position.
McKill moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Bradley Burt has been cut.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

McKill shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marty McKill dominated that round.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



McKill moves into the clinch successfully.

McKill breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

McKill drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Burt is working an open guard so McKill takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Burt looks to score with a jab to the body but McKill is just out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McKill looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Burt!
McKill throws a strike aimed at the side of Burt's head but Burt avoids it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A lull in the action here.
Burt managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by McKill.
McKill is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Burt gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
McKill is looking to advance position but Burt won't allow it.
Burt wants to get back to his feet.

McKill is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Burt is just riding it out for now. McKill eventually gives up the hold.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for McKill. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
McKill throwing shots but Burt is blocking nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McKill is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
McKill's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
McKill passes to full mount!
Marty McKill has got the better of the ground game so far.
McKill controlling his opponent.

McKill goes for an armbar but Burt turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Burt.

McKill is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Burt is trying to break the clinch but McKill has him pressed against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marty McKill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Bradley Burt's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Burt tries to sprawl but McKill drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Burt manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. McKill keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

McKill jumps guard.
McKill trying to control the position.
McKill pulls Burt in close to prevent any damage.
Burt won't allow McKill to get back to his feet.

McKill looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

McKill isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Burt stacks McKill on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Burt!

Burt lands an elbow.
McKill is trying to get back to half guard.
McKill keeps Burt under control for a moment.
Burt wants to control but McKill is keeping him busy.
McKill tries to escape but Burt is in control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McKill wants to control but Burt postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McKill is looking for a sweep.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
McKill takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

McKill rushes Burt and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Burt is trying to force a seperation but McKill has the dominant position.
Burt has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
McKill lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Burt is trying to force a seperation but McKill has the dominant position.
A frustrated look appears on Burt's face as he tries to break the clinch.

McKill pulls guard effortlessly.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McKill will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

McKill manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Burt working hard to break the clinch.
Burt tries to break free but McKill pushes him back against the cage.
McKill pushes off an throws an elbow but Burt leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

McKill has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Burt clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

McKill is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Burt has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
McKill controlling well, preventing Burt from escaping the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

McKill is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

McKill is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Burt breaks McKill's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Burt lands a couple of elbows.
McKill has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
McKill is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Marty McKill.
Well McKill has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
