Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yayi Zinsou (ranked 21299 p4p, 540 weight class) and Oulu Laine (ranked 6122 p4p, 467 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Laine's choice of entrance music: Peti - Oulu Shangri-la. Yayi Zinsou has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zinsou fails with a takedown attempt.
Zinsou gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Laine counters with a left to the body.
Yayi Zinsou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zinsou scores with a nice right hand.
Laine misses with a body shot.
Zinsou appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Laine bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Zinsou's head.
It looks like Yayi Zinsou has been cut.

and Laine counters with a low kick, right behind Zinsou 's knee.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yayi Zinsou. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Laine defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Zinsou.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zinsou ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Laine moves away.
Zinsou tries to score a power double leg takedown but Laine sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Zinsou somewhat.

Laine stuffs the takedown attempt from Zinsou. Zinsou gets slowly back to his feet.
Zinsou changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Laine tries to avoid it but Zinsou manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Laine to the ground. Laine escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Zinsou is breathing heavily.
Laine lands a big head kick that sends Zinsou tumbling to the mat! Laine takes a step backwards and waves Zinsou back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Laine slaps away a takedown attempt from Zinsou, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Laine lands a nice looking body kick.

Laine connects with a body shot that sends Zinsou's belly button to the back.
Zinsou gets tackled into the cage by Laine. Laine maintains the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Laine creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Laine breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Zinsou chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Laine can pounce on him.
Laine gets caught napping as Zinsou dives in and scores a takedown. Laine manages to retain guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Laine is looking to stand up but Zinsou isn't so interested in that idea.
Laine avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Zinsou has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Zinsou stops Laine from standing up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Laine can do anything to dispel that myth.

Laine wants to stand and escape but Zinsou is having none of it.
Laine has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Zinsou has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Laine lands an uppercut.
Laine lands a hook that snaps the head of Zinsou backwards.
Zinsou is rocked!

Oh Zinsou is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Laine swings wildly with an uppercut but Zinsou uses good head movement to avoid it.
Laine misses with a short punch on the inside.
Laine throws a head punch that misses.
Laine has a couple of punches blocked by Zinsou.
Laine lands a body shot in the clinch.
Laine misses with a hook from the clinch.

Laine breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Laine ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Zinsou out cold! The fight is over!

Oulu Laine decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
