Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Sullivan (ranked 2974 p4p, 383 weight class) and Kyle Kuzma (ranked 2924 p4p, 373 weight class). John Sullivan has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Sullivan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Kuzma!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Sullivan throws a body shot but no joy.
Kuzma is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Kuzma works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Kuzma blocks a head kick by Sullivan.
Kuzma darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Kuzma lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Kuzma connects with a body shot that sends Sullivan's belly button to the back.

Sullivan gets tackled into the cage by Kuzma. Kuzma maintains the clinch.

Sullivan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kuzma is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kuzma lands a big uppercut and Sullivan crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Sullivan looks OK. Kuzma waves Sullivan back to his feet!

Sullivan is rocked!
Sullivan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kuzma.
Kuzma lands a jab to Sullivan's midsection.

Kuzma moves into the clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kuzma has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Sullivan is trying to break free.
Kuzma makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Oh Sullivan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kuzma lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Kuzma creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Sullivan's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Sullivan drops to his knees and Kuzma pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kyle Kuzma!
In his post fight interview, Kyle Kuzma started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
