Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anil Diktas (ranked 3532 p4p, 288 weight class) and Tyrone Jenkins (ranked 3413 p4p, 283 weight class). Jenkins has chosen For whom the bell tolls as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anil Diktas!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tyrone Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diktas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jenkins swivels and escapes.
Jenkins shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Diktas as he jumps to the side.
Jenkins misses with a body shot

and Diktas counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Jenkins!
Jenkins struggling a bit here.
Jenkins is trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Diktas wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jenkins, who protects the arm well.
Jenkins is trying to escape the position but Diktas is controlling the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Diktas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Jenkins tries to buck Diktas off but Diktas is having none of it.

Diktas working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jenkins gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jenkins tries to get to full guard but Diktas has control of the leg.
Jenkins is trying to control but Diktas passes into side control!
Jenkins is looking for a sweep.

Diktas swings around for an armbar but Jenkins sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Diktas's guard.
Jenkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Diktas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Diktas looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jenkins passes into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jenkins scores with punches from side control.
Jenkins wants to stand but Diktas has his arm trapped.
Jenkins working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Diktas tries to improve position but can't.

Jenkins is trying to get an arm triangle but Diktas is defending well.
Jenkins trying to control the position but Diktas is working away.
We've been informed that Jenkins has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jenkins decides to stand back up. Jenkins steps back and let's Diktas get back to his feet.
Jenkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diktas tries to avoid it but Jenkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diktas to the ground. Diktas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Diktas feinted with a counter takedown.
Diktas fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Diktas shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jenkins as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anil Diktas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jenkins or perhaps it was just good defense by Diktas, which made it look bad.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyrone Jenkins dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


No luck with that takedown attempt from Diktas.
Diktas misses with a takedown attempt - Jenkins sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jenkins moves into the clinch.

Jenkins is fighting off a takedown attempt but Diktas is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jenkins to the mat. Jenkins regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Jenkins is pulling down on Diktas's head to control his posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jenkins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Diktas's guard.

Jenkins passes into half guard.

Jenkins is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Diktas has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jenkins is trying to control the action in half guard but Diktas is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jenkins slows the pace down in half guard.
Jenkins wants to take a breather but Diktas is having none of it.

Diktas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jenkins's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jenkins's back!
Jenkins is in bad spot here.

Jenkins is looking to control the hands but Diktas breaks free and manages to sink in a rear naked choke that ends the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Anil Diktas!
