Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gil Hebert (ranked 25011 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Parsons (ranked 5994 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Parsons acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gil Hebert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Parsons!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parsons throws a head kick that Hebert semi-blocks.

Parsons closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hebert's guard.
Hebert has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Hebert is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Parsons would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hebert has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Parsons can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Parsons thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hebert's head.
Parsons seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hebert does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Parsons will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Parsons throws an overhand right that lands on Hebert's shoulder, as Hebert tries to avoid the shot.
Hebert appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Parsons throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hebert sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Hebert closes the distance and pushes Parsons back into the cage.
Parsons misses with a knee to the head.

Parsons's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Parsons gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Hebert distracts Parsons with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hebert will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Parsons is trying to control the position but Hebert postures up.

Hebert postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hebert postures up and lands a big shot to Parsons's brow.
Hebert has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hebert works over Parsons with some ground and pound from guard.
Parsons controls Hebert momentarily but Hebert frees himself.
Parsons thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Hebert stands up over Parsons, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Parsons can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hebert controls the pace.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Parsons is looking to sweep but instead, Hebert has passed into half guard.
Parsons gets full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Parsons dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Parsons misses with a combination

and Hebert counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Parsons!

Parsons tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hebert wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hebert is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Parsons has escaped the position, nice work there.

Parsons tries to buck Hebert off but Hebert is having none of it.

Hebert happy to just control the position for now.
Parsons takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Parsons is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hebert is controlling him well.
Hebert really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hebert has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Hebert looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Hebert maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Parsons could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Hebert has cracked it and Parsons is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Hebert!
