Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mary Mccormick (ranked 24762 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Leto (ranked 5293 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mary Mccormick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Leto!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leto throws a half hearted mid kick.
Mccormick with a lazy takedown attempt

and Leto holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Leto breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Leto has managed to clinch.

Leto manages to break the clinch.
Leto tries for a takedown but Mccormick sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Leto tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mccormick defends well and Leto ends up having to push Mccormick into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Leto throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Mccormick counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Leto is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Mccormick keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mccormick is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Mary Mccormick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Leto.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Leto closes the distance and clinches.

Leto is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Leto jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mccormick walks away with a smile on his face. Leto gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
An inside leg kick from Leto misses.

Mccormick fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Leto, pushing him back against the cage.
Leto scores with a nice hook to the head.
Leto jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mccormick walks away with a smile on his face. Leto gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mccormick shoots in but Leto avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Mccormick gets tackled into the cage by Leto. Leto maintains the clinch.
Leto wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Leto gets control of Mccormick's arms and successfully pulls guard. Leto will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mccormick accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Leto throws his legs up looking for a submission but Mccormick uses it to pass to side control.
Leto is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Leto manages to work his way to half guard, despite Mccormick's best efforts.

Leto is pressing down on Mccormick's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Mccormick is standing up over Leto. Leto looks to escape but Mccormick dives into side control.
Leto is trying to work for a sweep but Mccormick has mounted him!
Mccormick prevents Leto from getting the reversal.
Leto tries to lock up and control but Mccormick gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Leto is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Leto slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Leto works his way to full guard. Good work.
Leto has his hands on Mccormick's head, controlling the position.
Mccormick stops Leto from standing up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mccormick throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Mccormick really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Leto looking for subs off his back but Mccormick has passed one foot through into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jack Leto will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


No joy there for Leto, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Leto closes the distance and pushes Mccormick back into the cage.
Leto tries to land knees in the clinch but Mccormick avoids the damage to the body.
A left hand lands to the body for Leto.

Leto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mccormick blocks a head kick by Leto.
Leto has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mccormick avoids the head kick by Leto.
Leto motions for Mccormick to come forward. Leto throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Leto stuffs the takedown attempt from Mccormick. Mccormick gets slowly back to his feet.

Leto lands a big uppercut and Mccormick crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Mccormick looks OK. Leto waves Mccormick back to his feet!


Mccormick is rocked!


It looks like Mary Mccormick has been cut.

Leto misses with a wild combination.
Oh Mccormick is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Mccormick tries to keep at a distance but Leto has taken the fight into the clinch.

Leto breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mccormick seems to have got his legs back now.
Leto misses with a few strikes there.
No luck for Mccormick with that takedown attempt.
And Leto tries to counter it with a takedown but Mccormick pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Leto fails with a takedown attempt.

Leto throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mccormick was covering up waiting for the punch and Leto finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Leto stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Leto tries to land a front kick but Mccormick steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
An attempted straight right counter from Mccormick misses the target.
Leto dives in for a single leg takedown but Mccormick sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Mccormick takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Leto throws a body kick that misses.
Leto throws a sloppy head kick and Mccormick moves out of range easily.
Leto misses with a takedown attempt - Mccormick sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Leto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mccormick pinned against the cage. Mccormick gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Leto tries a head kick but it misses.
Mccormick shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Leto but Leto pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Leto darts in looking for a takedown but Mccormick gets double underhooks and turns Leto into the cage.
Mccormick appears to be looking for a big counter.
Leto wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Leto lands a nice looking body shot.
Mccormick leaves Leto with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Leto is breathing heavily.
Leto slaps away a takedown attempt from Mccormick, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Leto shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mccormick as he jumps to the side.
Leto closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mccormick circles away.
Mccormick throws a big counter combination but Leto scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Leto has Mccormick up against the cage in a clinch.

Jack Leto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Mary Mccormick's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Leto can do anything to dispel that myth.
Leto wants to get back to full guard.
Mccormick working over Leto with some ground and pound. Leto looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Leto trying to get back to full guard but Mccormick takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Mccormick will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mccormick pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Leto tries to lock up and control but Mccormick gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Leto is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Mccormick avoids the attempt from Leto to control.
Leto is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Leto is trying to escape the mount.
Leto is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jack Leto is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
