And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roronoa Zoro!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zoro lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Baker backs up against the cage.


It looks like Dennis Baker has been cut.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Zoro gets caught flat footed, as Baker shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Baker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zoro looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Zoro sneaks out the side door and pushes Baker away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Baker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Baker showed some decent athleticism there.

Roronoa Zoro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Zoro feints and as Baker raises his hands in defense, Zoro changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Baker throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Zoro escapes and throws Baker's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Zoro manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Baker on his heels. He'll look to pass Baker's guard now, I'm sure.

Zoro decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Zoro scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Baker shoots in for a double leg but Zoro sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Zoro swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Baker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Zoro feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Zoro has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Zoro is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Baker has escaped the position, nice work there.
Baker is trying to control Zoro's posture but Zoro avoids it.

Zoro goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Baker has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Zoro but great work by Baker.

Zoro manages to work his way to half guard, despite Baker's best efforts.

Baker content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Baker is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Baker could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Baker wants to control from the top but Zoro keeps moving.
Baker won't allow Zoro to get back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Roronoa Zoro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Zoro has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
