Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wilson Palmer (ranked 25341 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Glass (ranked 7645 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wilson Palmer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Glass!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glass with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Palmer to score with a decent uppercut.
Glass fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Palmer was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Glass misses with a two punch combination.
George Glass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Palmer lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Glass darts in and clinches Palmer up against the cage.
Palmer fails to pull guard.

Palmer decides to pull guard.

Palmer has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Glass has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Palmer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Glass walks away with a smile on his face. Palmer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Glass gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Glass pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Palmer cracks Glass with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Glass shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Palmer defends it nicely.

Palmer darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Glass shoots in looking for a takedown. Palmer tries to sprawl out of it but Glass keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Palmer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Palmer tries to counter with a takedown but Glass is quick to defend against it.
Wilson Palmer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Glass.
Glass takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Glass drives through and clinches with Palmer against the cage.

Glass putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Palmer in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Palmer throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Glass shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Palmer defends it nicely.

Glass misses with a takedown
and Palmer counters with a big head kick but Glass shrugs it off.

Glass gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Glass drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Palmer wants to break free but Glass has control.
Palmer fails to pull guard.
Glass goes for a takedown attempt but Palmer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Palmer takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Wilson Palmer will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

George Glass is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Glass fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Palmer, pushing him back against the cage.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Glass.


It looks like Wilson Palmer has been cut.
Glass tries to circle away but Palmer has him pinned against the cage.
Palmer fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Palmer tries to pull guard but Glass holds him up against the cage and eventually Palmer drops back down to his feet.
Glass trying to control the position but instead, Palmer has worked for underhooks and has pushed Glass into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Glass throws an elbow that misses. Palmer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Glass's guard. Nice move by Palmer!

Glass might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Palmer haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Glass tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Palmer swivels and escapes.
Palmer is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Palmer moves out of range as Glass throws a body kick.
Palmer takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Glass goes for a double leg but Palmer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Palmer continues to drive forward.
Palmer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Palmer is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Glass moves into the clinch.
Palmer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Glass just stands there and leans against the cage.

Glass has clasped his hands together around Palmer's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Palmer bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Palmer fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Glass on the side of the head.
Glass throws a sloppy head kick and Palmer moves out of range easily.
Palmer attempts a counter takedown but Glass avoids it well and moves away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Palmer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Glass is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Palmer is aware though and is defending well.
Palmer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Palmer tries to pull guard but Glass holds him up against the cage and eventually Palmer drops back down to his feet.

Palmer is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Glass tries to break the clinch but Palmer is controlling the position.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Palmer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Palmer wants it to stay on the feet.

Palmer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Glass can do to turn this around?

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Palmer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
