The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurban works over Strickland's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Salvador Strickland has been cut.
Strickland really is a fat lump.

Gurban closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Strickland quickly recovers to half guard.

Strickland manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Gurban keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Strickland drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gurban gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Strickland manages to break the clinch.
Gurban throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Strickland stumbling backwards into the cage! Strickland bounces back off the cage towards Gurban, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Gurban lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Gurban celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
