Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mason Wiley (ranked 8425 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Marshall (ranked 5902 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mason Wiley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Marshall!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiley takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Wiley closes the distance and pushes Marshall back into the cage.
Wiley jumps guard but Marshall turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Wiley pulls guard successfully.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Wiley holds on and takes a little breather.
Marshall won't allow Wiley to get back to his feet.
Wiley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Marshall is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marshall avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Wiley seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Marshall gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Marshall gets tackled into the cage by Wiley. Wiley maintains the clinch.

Wiley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Wiley keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Marshall's efforts to push away.

Wiley has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Marshall avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Wiley closes the distance and pushes Marshall back into the cage.

Wiley has closed the distance and engaged Marshall in a clinch.
Wiley jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Marshall walks away with a smile on his face. Wiley gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Nice uppercut lands for Marshall. That snapped Wiley's head back.

That was a close round but I would say that Mason Wiley will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Marshall rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wiley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Wiley darts in and clinches Marshall up against the cage.

Wiley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Marshall scores with a hook to the body. Wiley takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wiley could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Marshall lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Marshall throws a right and a left that Wiley avoids nicely.
Marshall throws a series of punches but Wiley avoids them all with ease.
Marshall has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Marshall has managed to clinch.

Wiley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Marshall looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wiley throws a big counter combination but Marshall scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Marshall blocks a head kick by Wiley.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Marshall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Mason Wiley's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Wiley shoots for a takedown but Marshall saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Marshall tries to keep at a distance but Wiley has taken the fight into the clinch.
Marshall is looking to break free of the clinch but Wiley has double underhooks.

Wiley is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Marshall to keep the fight standing.

Wiley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Wiley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Marshall, pushing him back against the cage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mason Wiley.
I think Wiley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
