McGregor has chosen I'mma boss as his entrance music. Hector McGregor will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor leaves Mays with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Mays darts in and clinches McGregor up against the cage.
McGregor is trying to push Mays away but Mays has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Mays lands a nice elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mays jumps guard.

Mays is looking to cinch up a triangle. McGregor throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mays's body to avoid the submission. Mays has instead reached around McGregor's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mays arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
