PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Psycho Tookay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tookay comes into the arena with Animal I Have Become blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tookay fails in his attempt to clinch.

Davidson forces Tookay back against the cage and clinches.

Tookay is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Davidson can't fight it off and eventually Tookay manages to take the fight to the floor. Davidson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Davidson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tookay to the mat! Tookay manages to get full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Davidson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Davidson showed some decent athleticism there.
Tookay won't allow Davidson to pass to mount.

Tookay moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Tookay is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Davidson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Davidson's back!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tookay has the hooks in. Davidson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Davidson turns into Tookay and is now in his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tookay wants to sweep but no luck.
Davidson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Davidson won't allow Tookay to sweep him here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Tookay counters with a nice double leg into side control. Davidson won't be happy with that.

A close round but Michael Davidson will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Davidson tries to clinch up but Tookay circles away and keeps his distance.

Davidson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Tookay uses from the top position.

Tookay drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Tookay as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Davidson screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Tookay! Nice submission victory there!
