Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Trenton Riley (ranked 8086 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad Dracula (ranked 5662 p4p, 503 weight class). Vlad Dracula has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley misses with a double jab

and Dracula counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Dracula pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Riley is keeping the position for now.
Dracula trying to control but Riley is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Riley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dracula defends well.
Dracula slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Riley.

Riley is looking to escape.
Dracula is keen to just control but Riley is a slippery customer.
Dracula stalling.
Dracula wants to take a breather but Riley is having none of it.
Dracula prevents Riley from standing back up.
Riley is looking to improve his position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Dracula is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Riley's half guard.
Riley is not content to let Dracula control the position.
Riley wants to get back to full guard.
Dracula perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
It looks like Dracula might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Dracula is looking to take a break and control but Riley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Riley wants to get back to his feet.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dracula lands a nice short elbow.

Dracula decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Dracula throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Riley tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dracula is in Riley's guard.

Riley looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Dracula looking to sit in guard and control but Riley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dracula holds on and takes a little breather.
Dracula is striking off his back. Riley thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Dracula wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Riley is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dracula defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Riley misses with the combination.

Riley darts in and clinches Dracula up against the cage.

Dracula gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Riley has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Dracula is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Riley is fighting off a takedown attempt but Dracula is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Riley to the mat. Riley regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Dracula pushes down on Riley's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Dracula wants to lay and pray for a moment but Riley keeps working.
Vlad Dracula has got the better of the ground game so far.
Riley wants to get back to his feet.
Riley is refusing to be controlled, as Dracula sits in half guard.
Dracula missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Dracula is thwarting Riley's attempts to control the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Riley tries to roll over but Dracula keeps him under control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Dracula stands up and beckons Riley to join him on the feet.

Riley looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dracula!

Riley goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dracula rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Riley's guard! Nice work there by Dracula!
Riley wants to sweep but no luck.
Dracula works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Riley gets back to full guard.

Dracula content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Riley has locked up a guillotine! Riley's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Dracula is holding on here and Riley must be using up a lot of energy. Dracula has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Riley gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
