Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Donnell Kline (ranked 25370 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gucius Gupta (ranked 7547 p4p, 0 weight class). Gucius Gupta will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gupta pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A solid body kick from Gupta.

Kline forces Gupta back against the cage and clinches.
Kline blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Gupta pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gupta pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Kline rushes Gupta and presses him up against the cage.

and Kline counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kline slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Gupta has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kline off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and Kline counters with a low kick, right behind Gupta 's knee.

Gupta breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Gupta throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kline tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gupta is in Kline's guard.

Kline is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Gupta presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kline has his hands on Gupta's head, controlling the position.
Kline has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kline has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Gupta stands up and waves to Kline to follow him.
Gupta tries to land a front kick but Kline steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kline seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

and Kline decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gupta's guard.
Kline is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Kline wants to control from the top but Gupta keeps moving.

Kline feints and as Gupta raises his hands in defense, Kline changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Gupta clinches up with Kline and pushes him back against the cage.

Kline has one foot on Gupta's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kline bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Kline is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gupta knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kline wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gupta keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Donnell Kline will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Kline shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gupta but Gupta pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Kline jumps guard but Gupta turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kline looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kline manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gupta on his heels. He'll look to pass Gupta's guard now, I'm sure.

Kline is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kline throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gupta works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Gupta wants to stand and escape but Kline is having none of it.

Kline is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kline shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gupta defends it nicely.

Gucius Gupta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kline tries to score a body lock takedown but Gupta shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Kline jumps into guard, dragging Gupta to the mat.
Kline is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Gupta is stalling in the full guard.
Kline seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Kline isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gupta stacks Kline on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gupta!

Gupta prevents Kline from improving his position.
Gupta wants to pass to mount but Kline is defending the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kline blocks a head kick by Gupta.
Kline takes a kick to the side of the head.
Gupta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kline wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Gupta closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gucius Gupta comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
