Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bogdan Uzun (ranked 22286 p4p, 212 weight class) and Chael Ronnen (ranked 8353 p4p, 111 weight class). Uzun kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is "Trogdor the Burninator" by Strong Bad. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chael Ronnen!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ronnen throws a combination that misses
and Uzun counters with an inside leg kick.
Uzun gets a takedown into half guard.
Uzun seems to be working for a kimura but Ronnen defends the submission attempt.
Uzun missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Uzun lands strikes from half guard.
Uzun is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Uzun lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Uzun working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Uzun looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ronnen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Uzun looks to land a strike but Ronnen avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Uzun is looking to work some ground and pound but Ronnen has wrist control.

Uzun loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Uzun wants to pass the guard but Ronnen is keeping the position.
Uzun postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Uzun makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Uzun throws a strike but Ronnen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Uzun is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ronnen wants to control from the top but Uzun keeps moving.

Uzun postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ronnen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Uzun, into his guard.
Ronnen throws an elbow that misses. Uzun uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ronnen's guard. Nice move by Uzun!
Uzun throws a strike but Ronnen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Ronnen lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Jeez, Bogdan Uzun's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bogdan Uzun's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
