Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ruben Escandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Escandon comes to the cage accompanied by Knock The Black Off Yo Ass by Three 6 Mafia. The crowd seem to be enjoying Durden's choice of entrance music: Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower. Tyler Durden has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ruben Escandon's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyler Durden!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Escandon misses.

Escandon gets a clinch.
Durden keeps control of Escandon as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Escandon can't get the takedown.
Escandon could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Escandon tries to pull guard but Durden won't allow it.
Escandon is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Durden gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruben Escandon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Durden prevents the takedown attempt.

Durden has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Escandon uses from the top position.
Escandon wants to stand and escape but instead Durden has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Durden is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Durden drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Durden jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Durden stands up and waves to Escandon to follow him.
Escandon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Durden circles away quickly and effectively.
Escandon throws a nice looking combination but Durden bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Escandon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Durden.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Durden.

Jab, jab by Escandon - just one landing.
Durden avoids the head kick by Escandon.
Durden avoids a punch combination nicely.

Durden drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Escandon is breathing heavily.
Escandon wants to sweep but no luck.
Durden content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Escandon pushes Durden off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Escandon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Durden closes this distance looking for a takedown but Escandon circles away.
Escandon wants to clinch.

Durden shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Durden was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Durden has hold of Escandon's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Escandon manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Escandon tries to hold on but Durden postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Escandon tries to reverse the position but Durden maintains control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Durden stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice straight punches there by Escandon. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Escandon.
Durden misses with an attempted mid kick.
Escandon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Durden moves away.
Escandon avoids the head kick by Durden.

Durden lands a head kick that stumbles Escandon and the fighters go to the mat.

It looks like Ruben Escandon has been cut.

Escandon has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Durden should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Escandon has tightened it up now! Durden should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
