Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cal Klos (ranked 738 p4p, 100 weight class) and Hsing Yi (ranked 1027 p4p, 143 weight class). Yi has chosen Power of thy Sword as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klos misses with an uppercut. Yi saw that one coming.
Klos throws out a powerful jab.

Yi goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Klos is on top in guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Yi is not content to let Klos control the position.
We've been hearing that Klos has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Klos winds up and cracks Yi with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Cal Klos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Klos content to control rather than advance.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Klos lands a nice short elbow.
Yi is looking for a sweep. Klos is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Yi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Klos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Klos's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

I really don't envy Klos right now.

Klos is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Yi gets his way!
Our spies down at at ~T~ Troid - Gym inform us that Yi has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Klos rolls, trying to escape but Yi keeps control of the position.
Klos breaks Yi's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Klos avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Yi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Klos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Klos wants to control from the top but Yi keeps moving.

Yi throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Klos escapes and throws Yi's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Yi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Klos wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Klos passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Yi!

Cal Klos dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Klos throws out a loose jab but Yi uses good head movement to avoid it.
Klos throws a lazy right hand but Yi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Klos looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Klos creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Klos is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Yi doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Klos.
Klos looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Klos moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Yi.
Klos takes a little break here. Yi wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Well Klos has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
