Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rhys Crowder (ranked 3101 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Cruz (ranked 22454 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Nice cross by Crowder.
Crowder jabs Cruz to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Crowder connects with a nice looking jab.
Cruz is looking to clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Crowder on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Cruz pushes Crowder up against the cage in a clinch.
Cruz stalls.
Cruz looking to throw knees to the head but Crowder is blocking nicely.

Crowder breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Crowder lands with a nice body punch.
The fighters circle momentarily. Crowder darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Cruz forces Crowder back against the cage and clinches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cruz throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Crowder blocks it with crossed arms.
Crowder is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Cruz can't find room to land a body shot as Crowder controls the action.

Cruz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Crowder dips to his left and cracks Cruz with an uppercut!
Crowder scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

The fight stays on the outside here - Cruz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Crowder swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Cruz takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Crowder counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Cruz takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Crowder lands a right hook to the body.
Crowder throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cruz stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Crowder fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A jab from Crowder finds it's way through Cruz's defenses.

Crowder rushes Cruz with punches - Cruz moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Cruz goes down! Crowder follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
