The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wunh lands with a hook. Mitchell tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Mitchell drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Mitchell stands up.
Wunh connects with a nice looking jab.
Mitchell needs to keep his hands up - Wunh had a free shot at his head there.

Mitchell takes the fight into the clinch.

Mitchell gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mitchell stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Mitchell steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wunh.
Mitchell tries to counter with a takedown but Wunh is quick to defend against it.
Mitchell throws the kick towards the body but Wunh avoids it.
Wunh lands a jab to the head.
Wunh slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

John Wunh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Mitchell is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Wunh can't fight it off and eventually Mitchell manages to take the fight to the floor. Wunh looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Mitchell seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Wunh has hold of Mitchell's hands but Mitchell slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Mitchell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Mitchell decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Mitchell changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
John Wunh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wunh has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Wunh might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Mitchell shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mitchell showed some decent athleticism there.
