Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rubin Floy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alan Belzao!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Floy clinches with his opponent.
Floy drops down looking for an ankle pick but Belzao pulls his leg out and moves away.

Floy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Belzao wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Belzao bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Floy's guard.

Belzao gets to his feet. Floy looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Belzao closes the distance looking to clinch
and Floy counters with a series of strikes. Belzao will be more careful next time no doubt.

Floy has taken the fight to the clinch.
Floy is looking for a takedown.
Belzao is looking for a takedown.
Belzao jumps guard but Floy stands there with Belzao around his waist. Belzao gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Floy jumps guard but Belzao turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rubin Floy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A frustrated look appears on Belzao's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Floy tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Floy can't get the takedown.
Belzao prevents the takedown attempt.
Floy scores with a knee to the head.

Belzao wants to break free but Floy has control.
Belzao prevents a takedown attempt there.
Belzao tries for a takedown but Floy manages to get underhooks.
Belzao goes for a takedown attempt but Floy pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Alan Belzao seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Belzao drives through with a takedown into Floy's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Belzao gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Belzao throws a leg kick but Floy sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Floy smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Belzao gets tackled into the cage by Floy. Floy maintains the clinch.
Belzao misses with a hook to the ribs.
Belzao misses with a punch on the inside.

Belzao decides to pull guard.
Floy trying to control the position from guard on top but Belzao is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Belzao utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Floy is looking to work some ground and pound but Belzao has wrist control.
Floy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Belzao works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Belzao working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Floy.
Floy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Belzao looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Floy is defending well. Belzao quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Floy has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Belzao celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
