The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodward shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Douglas is trying to defend but Woodward finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Woodward tries to stand and escape but Douglas is controlling the position.
Woodward looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Douglas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Douglas tries to roll over but Woodward keeps him under control.
Woodward looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Douglas on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Douglas is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Woodward jumps into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Woodward is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Douglas looks calm but he's in trouble here. Woodward gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Douglas is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Woodward lets go of the hold and Douglas can pop his arm back in it's socket.
