Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Harry Archer!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Francis DeMontford and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sears closes the distance and clinches.
Sears missing with knees to the body.
Archer tries to pull guard but Sears holds him up against the cage and eventually Archer drops back down to his feet.
Sears jumps guard but Archer stands there with Sears around his waist. Sears gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sears has control of Archer's left arm, preventing Archer from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Archer missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Sears had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Archer defends it easily.
Sears keeping moving, preventing Archer from controlling successfully.

Sears is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Archer is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sears's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sears's back!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

and Sears counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Archer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sears defends it nicely.
Sears drops down looking for a counter takedown but Archer sprawls and moves away.

and Archer counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Archer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sears as he avoids it easily.
Abram Sears has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Archer.
A nice inside leg kick there by Sears. That's going to slow Archer down.
Archer tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sears defends well and Archer ends up having to push Sears into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Sears throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Archer sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Archer moves forwards but Sears connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Sears could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Archer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sears.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sears. Archer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Harry Archer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sears connects with a right hand. Archer shakes it off.
Abram Sears is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Archer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Archer.
Sears lands a nice leg kick that just misses Archer's sensitive parts.

Sears throws a right hand that Archer ducks under and follows up with a left that Archer also avoids with ease.

Sears has managed to clinch.
Sears tries to land knees in the clinch but Archer avoids the damage to the body.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Sears. Archer shrugs it off though.

Archer has closed the distance and engaged Sears in a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sears pulls Archer into guard.
Sears wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Sears manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Sears tries to close the distance and clinch but Archer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Archer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sears pinned against the cage. Sears gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Archer gets a clinch.
Sears tries to pull guard but Archer holds him up against the cage and eventually Sears drops back down to his feet.
Archer is trying to drag Sears to the mat but Sears just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Sears pulls guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sears pulls Archer in close to his closed guard and prevents Archer from doing any damage or advancing position.

Sears is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Archer defends well.
Sears has control of Archer's left arm, preventing Archer from doing any damage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Archer distracts Sears with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Archer wants to get up but he can't break Sears's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Archer is looking to work some ground and pound but Sears has wrist control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sears blocks a head kick by Archer.
Sears is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Archer.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Archer shoots in looking for a takedown. Sears tries to sprawl out of it but Archer keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sears manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

And that's the end of the fight!
Abram Sears showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Sears has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
