And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gasan Yakolev!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sirawazi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sirawazi misses with a jab to the body
and Yakolev counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sirawazi throws the left hand but Yakolev avoids the punch easily.
Sirawazi misses with a looping left.
Sirawazi moves out of range as Yakolev strikes.
Sirawazi defending well as Yakolev loads up on a big left hand.
Yakolev takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Sirawazi takes one on the chin but seems OK.
We've been told by Sirawazi's head coaches at Hardpunch (13 Elite / 1000$ that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Yakolev looks to land a combination but Sirawazi avoids it well.
Yakolev scores with a nice head shot.
Sirawazi digs a good hook to Yakolev's body.
Mukhtar Sirawazi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yakolev misses with an uppercut.
Sirawazi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sirawazi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Yakolev uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sirawazi.
Yakolev looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Sirawazi slips a jab and a cross from Yakolev.

Nice body punch from Yakolev.
Gasan Yakolev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Yakolev ducks under a wild hook from Sirawazi.
A nice side step and Yakolev releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Nice straight punches there by Yakolev. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Yakolev.

A swing and a miss from Sirawazi.
Sirawazi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Yakolev counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sirawazi throws a lazy uppercut
and Yakolev scores with a counter punch that sends Sirawazi to the canvas! Yakolev smells blood - he's punishing Sirawazi with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Sirawazi has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gasan Yakolev!
Gasan Yakolev decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
