Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Harwinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Van (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Harwinger throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Harwinger misses with a wild combination.
Harwinger throws a hook to the side of Van 's head but Van sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nice uppercut there from Harwinger.
Harwinger throws a big shot that misses.
Harwinger waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Van . Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Van to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Harwinger avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Van wants to sweep here but Harwinger controlling him for the moment.

Harwinger controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Van manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Harwinger manages to get himself to full guard.
Harwinger will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Van drops back, looking for a kneebar! Harwinger looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Harwinger looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Harwinger!
Van is letting Harwinger control him for a moment.
Harwinger has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Van tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Harwinger wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Harwinger moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jan Harwinger just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Harwinger throws a shot from downtown. Van moves away and avoids it.
Van shoots in for a double leg but Harwinger sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Harwinger swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Harwinger throws a nice looking combination but Van bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Jan Harwinger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Van changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Harwinger looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Harwinger tries to buck Van off but Van is having none of it.

Van is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Harwinger knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Van has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Harwinger!
Harwinger really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Harwinger tries to lock up and control but Van gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Van moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Harwinger has worked his arm free - good work by Harwinger!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Van tries to score with some ground and pound. Harwinger controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Van tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Van has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Van thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Harwinger is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Van 's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Van uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Harwinger.
Harwinger throws a pinpoint strike between Van 's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Van crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Harwinger scores a great knockout victory!
