Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tom Harris!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris lands with a kick to the ribs.
Bittencourt is looking to clinch.
Harris lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Bittencourt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Bittencourt stays in close to Harris's body and controls the position.
Bittencourt trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bittencourt has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Harris is proving hard to escape from.
Bittencourt throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Harris works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bittencourt slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Harris controls Bittencourt momentarily but Bittencourt frees himself.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Harris can do anything to dispel that myth.

Harris escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bittencourt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bittencourt landing with the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bittencourt sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Harris's guard.
Bittencourt works his foot free and advances to mount.

Harris is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Bittencourt tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harris working to try and regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bittencourt throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Harris because Bittencourt loaded up on that one.

Bittencourt sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Bittencourt controlling his opponent.
Bittencourt's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Harris keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luc Bittencourt dominated that round.
That's time! Bittencourt's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Bittencourt lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Harris circles away quickly and effectively.
Bittencourt moves forwards but Harris connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Bittencourt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Harris can do to turn this around?

Bittencourt scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Harris is looking to reverse the position.
Bittencourt wants to stand but Harris has his arm trapped.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris is letting Bittencourt control him for a moment.

Harris wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Bittencourt seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Harris is tapping! Wow, great finish!
