Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joe Slasher (ranked 1678 p4p, 77 weight class) and Gruff Dragon (ranked 2124 p4p, 103 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Slasher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gruff Dragon!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dragon scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Dragon should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Dragon has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dragon can do anything to dispel that myth.

Slasher has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dragon is proving hard to escape from.
Slasher has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Dragon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Slasher gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Slasher wants to stand but Dragon has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Dragon gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Dragon jumps guard but Slasher stands there with Dragon around his waist. Dragon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Dragon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Slasher is aware though and is defending well.

Dragon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Slasher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dragon is looking for a triangle but Slasher pushes his legs off easily.
Slasher wants to get up but he can't break Dragon's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Slasher got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dragon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slasher has managed to get both his arms back between Dragon's legs - danger averted.

Dragon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Slasher tries to avoid it but Dragon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Slasher to the ground. Slasher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dragon jumps guard but Slasher turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Dragon is trying to pull guard but Slasher has him pressed against the cage.
Slasher pushes Dragon back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Dragon looks winded!
Slasher lands a body punch.
Slasher lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Dragon or not.
Still in the clinch, Slasher scores with a nice short uppercut.
Slasher throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Dragons head.


It looks like Gruff Dragon has been cut.

Slasher lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Dragon jumps guard but Slasher turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Slasher lands with a light punch inside.

Slasher lands with a short shot to the head.
Slasher digs a right hand into Dragon's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Dragon's gas tank.

Still in the clinch, Slasher scores with a nice short uppercut.
Dragon is still on wobbly legs! Can Slasher finish him?
Slasher dips a shoulder and cracks Dragon with a mighty uppercut! Dragon falls back against the cage and Slasher unloads with a barrage of strikes! Dragon is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Slasher screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 8:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Slasher!
Our winner, Joe Slasher, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
