Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Arlie Ashley (ranked 8332 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Salubong (ranked 5280 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salubong throws a nice outside leg kick.
Salubong misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Salubong gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ashley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Salubong throws a head kick that misses
and Ashley counters with a nice uppercut.
Salubong darts in looking for a takedown but Ashley gets double underhooks and turns Salubong into the cage.
Arlie Ashley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Felipe Salubong.

and Ashley counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Salubong throws a right hand that Ashley ducks under and follows up with a left that Ashley also avoids with ease.

Ashley moves into the clinch successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ashley is pressed up against the cage. Salubong has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ashley down to the mat. Ashley avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Salubong clinches up with Ashley and pushes him back against the cage.

Ashley tries to pull guard but Salubong holds him up against the cage and eventually Ashley drops back down to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Salubong keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ashley's efforts to push away.
Ashley wants to get back to striking at distance but Salubong won't allow it.
Ashley is trying to force a seperation but Salubong has the dominant position.

Salubong gets control of Ashley's arms and successfully pulls guard. Salubong will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Salubong keeping moving, preventing Ashley from controlling successfully.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Salubong clinches up with Ashley and pushes him back against the cage.

Salubong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ashley manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Salubong keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Arlie Ashley will probably get the nod.

Ashley has had enough of the clinch but Salubong keeps him there for the moment.

Salubong sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ashley's guard.
Salubong lands a big elbow - Ashley is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Salubong!
