Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Zoyeraus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Samuel Zoyeraus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sergio Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a right and a left that Zoyeraus avoids nicely.

Zoyeraus rushes Jackson and presses him up against the cage.
Jackson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Zoyeraus smiles and moves away.
Zoyeraus misses with a combination
and Jackson counters with a one-two to the body.
Jackson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Jackson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zoyeraus's guard.
Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jackson wants to stand but Zoyeraus has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zoyeraus is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jackson throws and elbow that misses. Zoyeraus uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jackson's guard. Nice move by Zoyeraus!
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zoyeraus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Zoyeraus closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jackson is covering up but some of the strikes from Zoyeraus are getting through and doing damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jackson wants to clinch but Zoyeraus slips to the side

Jackson jumps guard but Zoyeraus stands there with Jackson around his waist. Jackson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Jackson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Zoyeraus is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jackson to the mat. Jackson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zoyeraus's waist but Zoyeraus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but Zoyeraus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Zoyeraus is really struggling to control Jackson but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Jackson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Jackson postures up and lands a big shot to Zoyeraus's brow.

Zoyeraus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jackson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jackson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Zoyeraus might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jackson is landing with some decent strikes but Zoyeraus is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Zoyeraus is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Jackson trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Jackson lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Zoyeraus hang on?
Jackson trying to control but Zoyeraus is having none of it.
Zoyeraus's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Zoyeraus is bucking up trying to escape but Jackson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sergio Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jackson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
