Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lon Horn (ranked 25246 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dontae Shraeder (ranked 5426 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shraeder tries to clinch but Horn moves out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Horn enables Shraeder to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Horn manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Horn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Horrible takedown attempt by Shraeder or perhaps it was just good defense by Horn, which made it look bad.

Shraeder tries to score a power double leg takedown but Horn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shraeder somewhat.
As Shraeder tries to get set, Horn tries to push him back and clinch up but Shraeder manages to avoid the attempt.
Lon Horn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dontae Shraeder.
Horn shoots for a double leg takedown but Shraeder sprawls well. He's pushed Horn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Horn creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Shraeder wants to get back to striking at distance but Horn won't allow it.
