Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Smith (ranked 1365 p4p, 155 weight class) and Soul Jah (ranked 1533 p4p, 171 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Lonely Train by Black Stone Cherry. Jah has chosen Bob Marley - Buffalo Soldier as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Soul Jah!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Smith throws a lazy right hand but Jah sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jah only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Smith rushes Jah and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Jah escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Smith throws a right hand that misses
and Jah counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Smith thinking.
Smith misses with a hook. Jah ducked under it nicely.
Jah follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Jah takes one to the chin there.
Jah showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smith.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Aaron Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Jah counters with a series of strikes. Smith will be more careful next time no doubt.

Smith scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jah doesn't seem bothered though.
