Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adonis Creed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pol Veri!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creed throws a left and a right that both miss

and Veri counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Creed knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Veri on the ground.
Veri trying to control the position from guard on top but Creed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Veri stands and throws Creed's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Veri works to advance to full mount. Creed defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Creed really wants to buck Veri off and get back to his feet.

Veri stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A big right from Veri misses.
Creed feinted with a counter takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Creed rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Veri moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Veri throws a series of punches but Creed avoids them all with ease.

Veri feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Veri thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Veri stops Creed from standing up.
Veri trying to control but Creed is working from the bottom.
Veri missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Veri trying to control the position from guard on top but Creed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Veri drops back looking for a leg! Creed is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Creed manages to kick Veri off! Veri jumps back into Creed's guard.
Veri wants to pass the guard but Creed is keeping the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Veri advances position into side control!

Veri in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Creed is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Pol Veri!
As Pol Veri got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: I wish to thank Alfred Winterbottom for giving me this opportunity and hope to reach my full potential with our organization! '.
