Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaromir Sambor (ranked 5340 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vahan Karamyenyan (ranked 3693 p4p, 0 weight class). Karamyenyan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bonecrusher - Saw Theme Remix. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Karamyenyan misses.

Sambor throws a hook but Karamyenyan blocks it.

Karamyenyan throws a sloppy head kick and Sambor moves out of range easily.
Sambor throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Karamyenyan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Karamyenyan throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Karamyenyan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sambor swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A jab lands there for Karamyenyan.
It looks like Jaromir Sambor has been cut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Karamyenyan throws a wild body kick that Sambor sees coming a mile off.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Karamyenyan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sambor has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sambor and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Karamyenyan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
We've been told by Sambor's head coaches at Doherty's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sambor throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Karamyenyan is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Sambor misses the shot to the body.

Sambor avoids a kick to the body.
Karamyenyan throws a lazy head kick
and Sambor counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Karamyenyan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jaromir Sambor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sambor turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Karamyenyan attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
No joy there for Sambor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Karamyenyan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sambor pinned against the cage. Sambor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sambor is looking to counter punch.
Sambor throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Karamyenyan throws a body kick, spinning off balance
enabling Sambor to counter with a crisp jab.
The fighters circling - Sambor throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Karamyenyan with the counter takedown but Sambor avoids it easily.
Karamyenyan forces Sambor back against the cage and clinches.
Sambor changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Karamyenyan fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Karamyenyan closes the distance and clinches up with Sambor, looking for a takedown. Karamyenyan pushes Sambor against the cage but Sambor circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sambor takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Karamyenyan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sambor throws a quick inside leg kick.
Karamyenyan goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sambor.
Karamyenyan misses with a kick to the body.
Sambor feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Karamyenyans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Karamyenyan with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sambor to score with a decent uppercut.
Sambor lands with a nice body punch.
Sambor lands a jab to the head.
Karamyenyan moves into the clinch.

Sambor manages to break the clinch.
Karamyenyan has his takedown stuffed
and Sambor counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Jaromir Sambor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vahan Karamyenyan.

Karamyenyan shoots in but no luck this time.
Sambor is looking for a counter combo.
Karamyenyan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sambor was well out of range. Poor timing from Karamyenyan.

Sambor ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Sambor cracks a nice hook into Karamyenyan's ribs.

It looks like Vahan Karamyenyan has been cut.
Karamyenyan tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sambor's elbow.
Karamyenyan creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Sambor misses with a knee to the head.
Sambor tries to land a knee to the head but Karamyenyan blocks with his arms.
Sambor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Karamyenyan looks for a takedown but Sambor sprawls well.
Sambor moves out of range as Karamyenyan throws a body kick.

Karamyenyan throws out a loose jab but Sambor uses good head movement to avoid it.
Karamyenyan walks into a stiff left hand from Sambor.
This has been an exciting period of action!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sambor crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Karamyenyan - the referee stops the clock and Sambor gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Karamyenyan. Sambor manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Karamyenyan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sambor circles away.
Karamyenyan throws a head kick that misses.
Sambor was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Sambor lands a big uppercut and Karamyenyan crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Karamyenyan looks OK. Sambor waves Karamyenyan back to his feet!
Karamyenyan is rocked!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sambor cracks Karamyenyan with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Karamyenyan looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Sambor finish him?
Karamyenyan is still on wobbly legs! Can Sambor finish him?
Sambor is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Sambor drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Karamyenyan's head, knocking him out cold! Sambor is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jaromir Sambor!
After winning the bout, Jaromir Sambor thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
