Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Schael Walker (ranked 2794 p4p, 385 weight class) and Dierk Ueli (ranked 3525 p4p, 457 weight class). Dierk Ueli has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Dierk Ueli!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walker has taken the fight to the clinch.

Ueli's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Walker has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Rabid Dog in the buildup to the fight.
Ueli shoots in but Walker avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ueli closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Walker's face as Ueli controls the position.

Ueli lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Ueli.

Walker is trying to get back to his feet but Ueli has full control of the position and if anything, Walker has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ueli has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Walker.

Walker manages to stand up with Ueli still on his back. Eventually Ueli drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.

Ueli manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Walker on his heels. He'll look to pass Walker's guard now, I'm sure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Walker manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Ueli ducks right into an uppercut from Walker.
Ueli dives in and grabs Walker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Walker pushes down on Ueli's head and hops out.
Walker bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ueli's head backwards.
Ueli shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walker pinned against the cage. Walker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Schael Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dierk Ueli.

Walker tries a head kick but it misses.

Walker clinches.
Ueli jumps guard but Walker stands there with Ueli around his waist. Ueli gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Walker throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Ueli goes for a takedown attempt but Walker pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Ueli looks to land a combination but Walker avoids it well.
Ueli moves out of range as Walker throws a body kick.
Walker lands with a shot to the body.

Walker instigates a clinch.

Ueli jumps guard.
Ueli has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Walker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Walker gets to his feet - Ueli follows without any prompting.

It looks like Dierk Ueli has been cut.

Walker lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ueli backwards.

Walker pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Ueli is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Walker is defending well.

Walker stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Walker tries to land a knee to the head but Ueli blocks with his arms.
Walker lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Walker just misses with a elbow thrown towards Ueli's brow.
Ueli tries for a takedown. No joy.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Walker breaks from the clinch.
A right-left combo lands from Walker.

Ueli is rocked!
Ueli has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ueli there as he acknowledges the shot.
Ueli is still on wobbly legs! Can Walker finish him?
Walker fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Walker pounces like a tiger and cracks Ueli with a vicious hook! Ueli is down but not out! Walker follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
