Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ispa Perkele (ranked 2637 p4p, 107 weight class) and Karl Gustav (ranked 5064 p4p, 165 weight class). Perkele comes to the cage accompanied by Abyss. Ispa Perkele has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkele throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gustav's waist but Gustav gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Perkele off to one side.

Perkele tries to keep at a distance but Gustav has taken the fight into the clinch.
Gustav works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Gustav lands a body punch.
Perkele blocks an elbow strike.
Gustav goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Gustav.
Perkele gets through Gustav's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gustav will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Perkele up against the cage.

Perkele jumps guard but Gustav stands there with Perkele around his waist. Perkele gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ispa Perkele. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Perkele looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

The crowd cheers as Perkele lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gustav doesn't seem phased though.
Gustav moves to clinch but Perkele breaks away
and Perkele counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Perkele lands a body shot.
Perkele connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Gustav looks winded!
Perkele throws a one two combo.
Perkele cracks Gustav's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Gustav slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Perkele can do further damage! This one is done, son!
