Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stick Kingkong (ranked 22953 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Wagner (ranked 24985 p4p, 0 weight class). Wagner is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer. The key to victory for Stick Kingkong has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Stick Kingkong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Wagner!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagner misses with a head kick.
Wagner with a lazy takedown attempt
and Kingkong counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Wagner fails with a takedown attempt.
Kingkong attempts a counter takedown but Wagner avoids it well and moves away.
Wagner shoots for a double leg takedown but Kingkong sprawls well. He's pushed Wagner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Stick Kingkong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Wagner.
Kingkong changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Wagner ducks right into an uppercut from Kingkong.
Wagner tries to clinch but Kingkong moves away
and Kingkong counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Jack Wagner has been cut.
Kingkong dips to his left and cracks Wagner with an uppercut!

Kingkong shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wagner manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kingkong not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Kingkong lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Kingkong is looking to work some ground and pound but Wagner has wrist control.

Kingkong drops back looking for a leg! Wagner is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wagner manages to kick Kingkong off! Kingkong jumps back into Wagner's guard.

Wagner is trying to keep Kingkong in close.

Kingkong decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Wagner, up you get!

and Kingkong counters with a stiff right hand.
Kingkong lands a jab to Wagner's midsection.
Kingkong is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kingkong connects with a crisp jab.

Wagner gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Wagner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Left hook, right uppercut from Kingkong.

and Wagner takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kingkong connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Kingkong lands a nice hook to Wagner's body. Wagner takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Kingkong counters with a stiff right hand.

Jack Wagner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wagner tries to close the distance and clinch but Kingkong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

A shot to the liver by Kingkong. Beautiful body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kingkong closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wagner quickly recovers to half guard.
Wagner is looking to get back to is feet but Kingkong passes into side control.

Kingkong controls the position.
Wagner can't do much from the bottom here.

Wagner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kingkong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kingkong tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Wagner wants to control but Kingkong postures up.
Kingkong working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Wagner parries the strikes from Kingkong easily there. Kingkong is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Wagner to escape.

Wagner misses with a takedown attempt
and Kingkong counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Kingkong dives in and grabs Wagner's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wagner pushes down on Kingkong's head and hops out.
Wagner takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kingkong goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Wagner throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kingkong counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wagner thinking.
Kingkong's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kingkong duly obliges.

Kingkong is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wagner's half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wagner can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kingkong in particular looking to stall.

Wagner is looking to control Kingkong's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wagner avoid being mounted?

Kingkong postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Wagner to stand up.
Kingkong circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kingkong makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Kingkong shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kingkong was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kingkong postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Wagner tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kingkong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Wagner is breathing heavily.

Kingkong tries for a kimura but Wagner is defending well.
Kingkong remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Kingkong cracks Wagner with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Wagner is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kingkong decides to stand back up.
Wagner has his takedown stuffed
and Kingkong counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wagner tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Kingkong counters with a nice body shot.
Kingkong throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Wagner misses with a double jab
and Kingkong counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Wagner takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Kingkong lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kingkong scores with a sloppy right hand. Wagner should have avoided that one.

Wagner is rocked!
Kingkong throws a pinpoint strike between Wagner's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Wagner crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Kingkong scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Stick Kingkong!
A very excited looking Stick Kingkong rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
