Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tage Westergaard (ranked 5293 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Dod (ranked 6786 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dod cracks Westergaard with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Dod throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dod looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Westergaard rushes Dod and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Dod lands an elbow inside that Westergaard shrugs off.

Dod breaks from the clinch.
Dod tries for a takedown but Westergaard sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Westergaard closes the distance and clinches.

Dod is trying to break the clinch but Westergaard has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dod lands a takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Westergaard wants to stand but Dod is controlling the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Westergaard throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dod tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Westergaard is in Dod's guard.

Westergaard is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Westergaard wants to stand but Dod has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Dod can't keep his opponent in guard - Westergaard advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
It looks like Westergaard is going to stand back up.
Westergaard passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dod!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Westergaard is looking to work his way around to Dod's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Westergaard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dod drops back, looking for a kneebar! Westergaard looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Westergaard looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Westergaard!

Westergaard is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dod can do to turn this around?

Westergaard wants to finish this one by submission but Dod is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Westergaard.

Dod is trying to reverse the position but instead Westergaard has taken his back - oops!
Westergaard is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Dod up.

Westergaard looking to break Dod's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Dod remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Westergaard will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
