The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rourke pinned against the cage. Rourke gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rourke swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Rourke takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looks like Mickey Rourke has been cut.
Nice combo by Jones! Oh, that's hurt him - Rourke falls to the canvas and Jones follows him into side control.

Jones has gone for a leg lock! Rourke slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jones's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jones has his foot on Rourke's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rourke works his way back into a safe position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jones tries to bum rush Rourke with a series of wild strikes but Rourke uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Rourke connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Rourke swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Rourke throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Rourke scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jones looks to throw the jab but Rourke is out of range.

Mickey Rourke is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rourke lands with a hook. Jones tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jones looks to land a combination but Rourke avoids it well.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rourke lands with a right and another and another! Jones is in big trouble! Rourke lands again and this time it's lights out for Jones! A quality knockout there for Rourke.
