Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Breno Gracie (ranked 1668 p4p, 192 weight class) and Tyron Woody (ranked 4218 p4p, 421 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woody throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Nice takedown defense from Woody. No joy for Gracie on that attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Woody. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gracie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Woody circles away.
Woody fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Woody throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gracie feinted with a counter takedown.
Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Woody pinned against the cage. Woody gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Woody is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.

Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Woody defends well.

Woody has control of Gracie's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gracie regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Woody is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Gracie knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Gracie for a finish.

I really don't envy Gracie right now.
Tyron Woody is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Gracie has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Woody is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gracie.

Well Woody has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
