Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jin Jin Ipa (ranked 4075 p4p, 430 weight class) and Rod Marchand (ranked 21713 p4p, 634 weight class). Marchand comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Daisy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jin Jin Ipa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ipa drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ipa slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Marchand really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ipa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A lull in the action here.
Marchand takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Ipa lands some shots froms side control.
Ipa grinds an elbow into Marchand's temple.
Marchand takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Ipa is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Marchand knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Ipa in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
