The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eugen throws an overhand right that lands on Ahr's shoulder, as Ahr tries to avoid the shot.
Ahr appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Eugen misses the jab.
Ahr throws a sloppy head kick and Eugen moves out of range easily.
Ahr's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Eugen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ahr scrambles back to his feet.
Nice defenses there by Ahr.
Ahr has his takedown stuffed
and Eugen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
No joy there for Eugen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ahr goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Ahr keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Eugen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Nice takedown defense from Eugen. No joy for Ahr on that attempt.
Gustav Ahr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ahr avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ahr misses with an uppercut.
Eugen stuffs the takedown attempt from Ahr. Ahr gets slowly back to his feet.

Eugen walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Ahr drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Eugen swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Ahr's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
