The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villa Jr cracks Kano with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Villa Jr scores with a sloppy right hand. Kano should have avoided that one.
Villa Jr tests Kano's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kano takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kano slips a jab and a cross from Villa Jr.
Kano steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Villa Jr.
Francisco Villa Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kano manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Villa Jr on his heels. He'll look to pass Villa Jr's guard now, I'm sure.
Kano is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Villa Jr is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Villa Jr has escaped and now he's on top!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
