The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a right and a left that Mahmoud avoids nicely.
Mahmoud throws a counter combo.
Jackson looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Jackson is looking to clinch.
Jackson misses with a combination
and Mahmoud counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jackson is looking to stand back up but Mahmoud counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jackson.
Mahmoud is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Mahmoud is taking a breather. Jackson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mahmoud on the ground.

Mahmoud has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

It looks like Mahmoud might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Mahmoud's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mahmoud looking to ground and pound but Jackson is blocking nicely.

Jackson tries to lock up and control but Mahmoud gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Mahmoud has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Flexx zone ($100/week). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Horus Mahmoud dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Mahmoud shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jackson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jackson bucks up and tries to throw Mahmoud off but instead Mahmoud has got his back!
Mahmoud has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mahmoud has got one arm under Jackson's chin. This could be trouble... Jackson trying to control the other hand but Mahmoud gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Jackson has tapped out! The fight is over!
