Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bill Santana (ranked 6933 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roronoa Zoro (ranked 7174 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zoro throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Santana.
Santana throws a counter high kick but Zoro was just alert enough to avoid it.
Zoro rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Santana decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Zoro's guard.
Santana could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Santana is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Zoro had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Santana defends it easily.
Santana is working Zoro over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Santana drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Zoro dives on top into guard.

Santana has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Zoro has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Santana's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

and Santana counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zoro won't be happy with that.

Santana goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Zoro has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Santana but great work by Zoro.
Santana might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Santana is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
