Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Benny Blades (ranked 22622 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dayanc Gurban (ranked 3893 p4p, 392 weight class). Blades comes to the cage accompanied by Star Wars. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurban is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gurban prevents a body shot from Blades.

Blades breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gurban throws an off balance right hand
and Blades counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Dayanc Gurban seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gurban looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Gurban loads up on a big right hand but Blades slips the punch.
Blades lands a glancing blow to the side of Gurban's head.
Blades scores with a one two! Gurban had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Blades throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Gurban misses with a jab, cross combination.

Blades lands the left hand.
Gurban shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Blades eats them both and turns towards Gurban to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Blades has taken the fight to the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Blades enables Gurban to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Blades manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Blades has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gurban can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gurban gets to his feet - Blades follows without any prompting.
Gurban ducks right into an uppercut from Blades.
Blades buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Blades slips a jab from Gurban.
Gurban fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Blades lands with a nice body kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Blades, as that shot connected.
Blades stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Gurban is rocked!
Gurban looks winded!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Blades ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Gurban shoots in looking for a takedown. Blades tries to sprawl out of it but Gurban keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blades manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gurban takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Blades lands a big uppercut and Gurban crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Gurban looks OK. Blades waves Gurban back to his feet!

Blades feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gurban sprawling to the canvas! Gurban rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Blades finish him?!

Blades connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Gurban to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Blades!
