Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edison Shaffer (ranked 8088 p4p, 0 weight class) and Suleiman Conqueror (ranked 5285 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Conqueror shoots in and gets a takedown into Shaffer's guard.

Shaffer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Conqueror can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Conqueror avoids the strikes from the bottom by Shaffer.
Shaffer is not content to let Conqueror control the position.
The strikes coming from Conqueror are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Shaffer tries to improve position but can't.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Conqueror is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Shaffer knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Shaffer gets caught napping as Conqueror dives in and scores a takedown. Shaffer manages to retain guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
